PHOTO - Dancing with Delvis while Gilberto cooks

Benny Moré was a Cuban singing star in the 40's and 50's. I have a memory of Gilberto singing along to one of Moré's tunes with his shirt off. One morning I was dancing to a Benny Moré tune after having returned to Toronto, and got the inspiration for the song. The character in the song is an imaginary person, but it could have been anybody I met while in Cuba. Everyone is just so connected to their bodies and free of physical tension. I am totally not. Still working on it. This song is my love letter to that physical and emotional freedom.
